2019 Gardener Registration

New gardener registration will be held Saturday, March 23 from 9 am to noon at the Northampton Recreation Department (located at 100 Bridge Road on the JFK school grounds). As there are usually more applicants than available plots, people do come early to stand in line. We also maintain a waiting list, and most folks on the list do get a plot.

The 2019 New Gardener Registration packet is now available for download. You’ll save time on registration day if you bring your completed registration form with you!

Each plot at the Garden is roughly 20 x 20 feet and first-year gardeners are limited to a single plot. The plot fee is $25, with discounts available for receiving the Garden Newsletter digitally and for maintaining a compost pile within your plot. The Garden furnishes water (there are 12 outlets distributed throughout the garden, with attached hoses), and community tools (spades, shovels, rakes, hoes, etc.). Rock dust and wood chips are also available to gardeners without charge.

Returning Gardeners who are eligible for renewal should have received a Returning Gardener Registration packet in January 2019. If you have not received a packet, and believe this is in error, please contact us immediately.
